Ladies and Gentlemen, introducing ME...

With everyone from stay-at-home mammas to multimillionaires joining the blogging bandwagon, today I decided to take a number and join the queue.

Who am I? I am a 22 year old girl who has lived all her life in the incredibly complex, terribly messed up and incomparably beautiful country named India. The fairytale land of snake charmers and mystic gurus has today become a witches brew of technology, creativity, cultural diversity, and complete mayhem. Yet, this country retains the charm and tradition of past ages too, making it a crazy quilt of chaos and coziness.

When I was a child, I dreamt of leaving this land and living in the West, imagining greener pastures on the other side of the fence and all that. As I grew up and started exploring, understanding the nation of my birth, I discovered enough of those pastures right here.

In short, I love India, Hindustan, all of it.

Why Coffee and Critters? Easily explained. I'm a self-confessed coffee addict, grew up insisting on coffee powder in my daily glass of milk, discovered black coffee around my 17th birthday, and never let go of that brew since. I've also been a critter-maniac all my life, scarred by dog-bites and cat scratches in failed attempts to smuggle strays home. My ideal home would have 20 dogs, 11 cats, assorted mice and birds, and atleast 5 kids. I try to ignore the fact that such a scenario would probably include me running around, trying to stop them from eating each other, but heck, I can dream, can't I?

The five cats currently sharing my living quarters are nodding their heads in agreement. Thank you, my darlings.
